Q: What is the name of the agency in Canada that deals with Drugs, like DEA ?
I want the name of the agency that does the same work as DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency), and somewhere that I can get some info about it.
DO NOT SEND ME STUFF ABOUT PHARMACY DRUGS.
A: For most of the country it's the RCMP. However, Ontario and Quebec have Provincial Police and they look after that in those two provinces. Cheers!
Q: How to read drug expiration date on drugs sold in Canada?
I have a over the counter medicine that I bought when I was in canada. The expration date says "10 FE". What does that mean?
A: 10th February
Q: How do I purchase RX drugs from Canada?
My current insurance doesn't cover my rx and I can't afford to pay for it. It doesn't have a generic yet because it's still new so I can't get it at Walmart. So how do I go about buying them online from a Canadian website? And is it legal? I don't have my rx paper anymore because Walgreens already filled it. Would I have to get another one or can I do a transfer?
I live in the USA
A: You still have to pay importing taxes. My dad lived in Canada for several months on business, and when he brought his medicine back, they charged him MORE than they would have if he would have gotten it in the united states, just because of taxes.
Walgreens has a $10 prescription plan where you get prescriptions for very, very cheap.

I'm sure this will make it easy for U to find what Ur looking for. Best wishes
Q: How do you feel about the D.H.S. announcement that they are lifting the moratorium on drugs bought from Canada
2) Why is the D.H.S. involved in this? I understand the Customs issue, but how am I threatened by gramps ordering his Viagra from Canada?
Also, with more people buying more drugs from countries other than the U.S., how do you feel that will affect prescription prices here?
A: Being from Canada, I have mixed feelings. One of the reasons drug prices are lower here are the government controls on pricing. Why should other countries benefit from our tax money? Get off your butts and pass some similar laws in your own country.
On the other hand, I am against exploitation of people's suffering by the large pharma corporations, even though I own stock in a couple of them.
As far as why the DHS needs to be involved, I guess it would be because there is some concern that Canadian drugs are not quality-controlled to U.S. specifications, and they are worried about fake drugs causing harm to people. What if Gramps takes some bogus Viagra that makes him go postal and comes to your school and goes on a rampage with his hunting rifle etc etc.
Q: Visitors to Canada and Prescription drugs?
My mom, who is not a canadian citizen or an immigrant, is travelling to canada. Is she allowed to bring 6 months supply of prescription medicine?
A: Yes, as long as they are not controlled medications in Canada (ie: illegal drugs here) and they are packaged properly she can bring them with her. She should have a copy of her prescription or a letter from her Doctor attesting to the fact that she requires these medications for her own use and she shouldn't have a problem.
Q: How does Canada insure that the drugs they sell are safe?
In the USA we have the FDA. Do you have a similar agency?
A: Health Canada, a department of the Government of Canada, regulates therapeutic drugs in Canada through a rigorous licensing process, which includes an extensive pre-market review and the ongoing post-market assessment of a drug's safety, effectiveness and quality.
As part of this process, Heath Canada conducts risk/benefit assessments, monitors adverse reactions, and communicates information about risks to health professionals and the public.
Q: Are travelers to Canada allowed to bring prescription drugs from Canada back to USA?
A: Yes, provided that the prescription was written by a Canadian Doctor, who has examined you in person, and it was filled by a Pharmacist at a Canadian drug store, and the label is still intact , and it has your name on it.
You can't bring a US Doctor's script to Canada, and expect to get it filled, as that is against our laws. The Pharmacist will reject it.

Q: Can convicted felons enter england, canada, mexico if there felonies were not violent or drugs?
My husband and I both have felony convictions, but none of them are any sort of violence, or guns, or any drug convictions, can we go on vacation to england, or canada or mexico? What countries can we go to, and what ones can't we go to. Where would I find this information, or can you help me?
A: You can go to mexico. They let anyone in mexico.
I would check with the consulate of that country to see if they will permit you to enter their country.
Q: why are prescription drugs cheaper in Canada than in the USA?
Do pharmaceutical companies have lower wholesale prices for Canada than for the US or is the lower price achieved by governmental subsidies? Or is there some other reason why they are less expensive there?
A: because americans are reliant on anything a doctor tells them so the demand is higher so prices go up.
Q: is it legal to buy drugs from canada?
ok this might sound like a stupid question but i've heard both ways. i obviously know its not the safest thing, but i was curious if it was legal to buy drugs from canada via mail/internet.
oh sorry, yes legal drugs. to be specific antifugal medicine
A: technically yes. but it's obviously not a big deal because my insurance company helps me get my seizure meds from them for a 3 month supply for cheaper.
unless your talking about the good stuff.
Q: What is the law on reimporting drugs from Canada to the US?
A: Your not allowed, it's against the law, but people do it everyday.
It's not allowed because it's gray market. It breaks American copyright laws.
Q: Where is Condi who spoke out against "dangerous" drugs in Canada?
Does she realize that a truck in Mexico just killed 34 people and China is importing poisonous products?
Why speak out against safe drugs while remaining silent on deadly products and transports?
Hillary/Obama 2008 (below) My proof comes from my freinds who currently live their and are still alive and kicking. Try getting out of the country more often.

A: I could agree with you so often if you didn't politicize and personalize every issue.
It should not be partisan politicking to care about the safety of our children, Chi.
Q: New to Canada-have migraine. What drugs can I buy at pharmacy for pain not requiring a prescription......?
I know you can buy tylenol w/codiene, but that isn't helping. Have tried all the OTC's such as Motrin/Tylenol/Excedrin, etc.
Please, what else is available "behind" the pharmacy counter without a prescription here in Canada. Thank you very much.
A: TramadoL
Q: Would importing prescription drugs from Canada bypass US patent law?
A: No. It would violate US patent law, assuming there is a patent still in force for the prescription drug.
